Frithville Primary School in Boston, Lincolnshire has converted an area of hard standing into a football pitch and play area with the addition of recessed railings from Zaun, a sport and play fencing and railing specialist.
Zaun provided two curved sections of 27mm steel tube railings, two metres wide, to form a pair of recessed goals in the existing fence line at the school. 8.3mm circular hollow section frames were also supplied.
School pupils convinced local MP Matt Warman to go in goal as they booted balls at him when he visited to see the new playground.
Frithville Primary is federated with New York Primary, another small rural school five miles away. Both are part of the "Small Aspiring Schools" Collaboration, which includes: Gipsey Bridge Academy, Spilsby Primary School, Bucknall Primary School, Kirkby on Bain Church of England Primary School and Mareham le fen Church of England Primary School.
