Large bespoke steel planters for residential development
IOTA supplied 28 large, bespoke powder-coated steel planters for historic Baylis Old School in Lambeth which has been redeveloped as residential properties
Historic Baylis Old School in Lambeth, London was last rebuilt in 1964 in the ‘Brutalist’ style. Its listed classroom buildings had fallen into disrepair. Henley Homes has redeveloped the building into 149 contemporary apartments, family townhouses, and 60s-style modernist apartments. The redevelopment also features large landscaped areas and secluded courtyards.
IOTA supplied a total of 28 large, bespoke powder-coated steel planters. These were closely-placed along a walkway and in a tight grid pattern in the main courtyard. The intention was to create a ‘raised garden’ effect rather than a number of individual, isolated planters.
