Higher Solent cycle shelters; Josta 2-tier cycle racks
In February 2016, Cycle-Works installed two Higher Solent shelters to cover a Josta 2-tier cycle storage system at the of the University of Oxford.
The system provides 46 cycle parking spaces at the University's Mathematical Institute/Department of Statistics, situated in the St Giles area of the town.
The shelter framework is painted in Anthracite Grey to match the lockable gates to the courtyard where they have been installed. The framework has also been treated with an anti-vandal coating that will allow graffiti to be easily removed.
The installation was carried out over a two-day period without any disruption to staff or students in the department.
Due to the success of the first site, another Higher Solent shelter covering 50 Josta 2-tier racks was ordered and installed at the Beecroft Building, which houses the Department of Physics. Again, the shelter matches the surrounding colour scheme and metalwork.
