Here at Round Wood we have a choice of winter fuel options (and summer garden burner fuels… of course!). All to suit a variety of burning and storage needs.

Timber Off-cuts

Off-cuts are produced from our working saw mill in East Sussex. The timber produced is predominantly oak, although the occasional softwood and tropical hardwood are also included – depending on recent mill production. The off-cuts are great for keeping a fire ‘ticking over’, or to bulk-up an outside fire in a burner or fire-pit.

Eco-friendly briquettes

Briquettes (eco-friendly nuggets) are produced from compressed sawdust into ‘nugget’ shaped pieces. These briquettes have a very high burning temperature, which make them ideal for starting fires or bringing a room up to optimum temperatures. These briquettes are available in a number of buying options, including bulk bags and individually packed bags giving customers more options if storage is limited.

Wrought Iron Log Baskets

To aid storage we offer a selection of wrought iron log baskets in two designs the ‘Gothic’ available in 5 sizes and ‘knotted’ available in one. Having a log basket as part of your fireplace provides the convenience of having logs or briquettes close by, without the need to replenish your fire by going outside. All of our log baskets are also supplied with a FREE 10kg bag of briquettes.
