Challenge

Carillion Construction has started large-scale works on the smart motorway improvements between J17 and J19 of the M6, which are expected to take around 2 years to complete.

Security is a large concern with a project of this size, especially as the project compound and welfare facilities are quite remote.

Solution

CLD Fencing Systems worked through the solution with the project manager and concluded that their Eclipse-Lite™ temporary fencing system was an obvious alternative to traditional temporary block and mesh site fencing. This system would save unnecessary expense and improve the overall look of the site.

Eclipse-Lite™ is a rigid wire mesh fencing panel with an aperture of 200 x 50mm. Panels have a rigid construction with 3 profiles to increase the rigidity. Installation becomes quicker as the bays are 3m wide.
