Coventry University recently fended off competition from five shortlisted UK institutions to be named 'University of the Year' in the annual Times Higher Education Awards.

Artform helped to complete a major external works project for the university in the lead up to Christmas. A new spine walkway was created to provide a flowing public space connecting the university campus to the town centre.

Central to the success of the scheme were the high quality public seating designs carefully selected and supplied by Artform, as well as additional tree grilles, bollards and a bespoke decking system for a bridge over the newly improved pond.

And it seems the universities commitment to investing in quality outdoor spaces on campus as well as improving the wider public realm did not go unnoticed…

The judges who awarded Coventry University with the highest accolade possible, commented on the substantial investment the university has made to improve facilities for staff and students alike and the work it is doing to regenerate a neglected area of Coventry city centre
