Addastone Plus surfacing on paths - Stirling University
The University of Stirling is situated in a 330 acre estate centred around Airthrey Loch. The existing pathways required resurfacing and it was important to choose a natural looking paving that would complement the rural, relaxed atmosphere of the campus.
Addagrip approved contractor Resarf Flooring Ltd was appointed to install 520 sqm of Addastone Plus resin bonded surfacing in a 1-3mm Brittany Bronze natural aggregate finish. This was used for the pathways, from the bridge over the loch to the refurbished Student Union building.
The bonded system was selected to give a loose gravel appearance to the pathways but without the maintenance issues of migrating stone. The asphalt base ensured that the Addastone Plus could be laid as a seamless pathway system that suits the rural setting of the campus grounds.
Resurfacing of the walkways was completed in time for the start of the academic year.
