Trueform was asked to provide a design and build service to improve facilities for passengers using the new Deansgate tramstop on the Metrolink tram service in Greater Manchester. The brief was to design a contemporary architectural canopy to shelter passengers and deliver information services.

Trueform designed, manufactured and installed a series of elegant 'gullwing' style architectural canopies, incorporating the following elements and features:

  • Real Time Passenger Information
  • Illuminated advertising displays
  • Elegant laminated glass roof canopy structure
  • Bespoke printed glass leaf design

With a very high quality of design and finishing, the canopies provide a sophisticated, contemporary waiting environment for the travelling public.
