Challenge

Bailey Streetscene was approached by Willmott Dixon to assist with the supply and implementation of a high-quality courtyard project for a residential apartment block located in central Nottingham.

The client required bespoke concrete seating and planters as well as timber seating that would match the high specification of the courtyard. The area was designed to create a relaxing outdoor environment for residents.

Solution

Bailey Streetscene supplied timber Holgate benches along with bespoke white concrete benches and planters, which complemented the contemporary feel of the rest of the development.

Bailey Streetscene worked alongside the contractor and architects with regards to design budgets, overcoming the logistical challenge of working within a live build environment and a confined, restricted working area.

During the period of work Bailey Streetscene operated intensively with Willmott Dixon and the site staff, providing benches, seats and planters. The street furniture was installed to the contractor’s requirements. All installations were scheduled to meet tight time constraints and comply with site regulations.

Bailey Streetscene responsibilities:

  • Overall cost evaluation
  • Product design
  • 3D and CAD realisation
  • Site liaison and logistical installation planning
  • Overall supply and installation of the project to match the practical completion
  • Client sign-off
  • Time and budget constraints set by the client

Outcome

The finished project now allows residents to relax in a modern, stylish outdoor communal area and the quality of Bailey Streetscene’s products greatly contributes to this.
