Planters for commercial office landscape, Salford Quays
The Former Colgate Palmolive production facility was converted to Grade A office space comprising of 400,000 square feet over more than 5 floors. As part of the Soapworks redevelopment, Horticon Ltd commissioned IOTA to produce bespoke powder coated steel planters to be placed along the public promenade on the river near the site in Salford Quays

The Former Colgate Palmolive production facility was converted to Grade A office space comprising of 400,000 square feet over more than 5 floors. As part of the Soapworks redevelopment, Horticon Ltd commissioned IOTA to produce bespoke powder coated steel planters to be placed along the public promenade on the river near the site in Salford Quays, Manchester.
IOTA designed and fabricated the planters from 1.5mm thick zintec steel, which were then powder-coated to RAL 9007 (Grey Aluminium) and finished with a clear anti-graffiti coating. The planters measured 2 metres long with a width of 1 metre and a height 0.6 metres.
As part of the design Horticon Ltd installed the planters on a raised brick platform along the Salford Quays.
