Allianz Stadium (Barnet Copthall Stadium), the home of Saracens RFC, is also home for Barnet Shaftsbury Harriers, a famous and successful athletics club.  Saracens wanted to upgrade the throwing facilities for the athletics club, and sought solutions for repairing the outdoor hammer cage and designs for an indoor hammer cage to fit under the main stand, where there is already an indoor running track.

The prime requirement for the indoor hammer cage was to provide a useable and safe throwing environment in a limited space, which presented quite a challenge. There was also a need to ‘stow’ the net at times when it was not in use, so that the full length of the under-stand area could be used.
Sportsmark Group Ltd provided the solution. The work was successfully completed and the cage is now in full use.
