Factory Furniture worked with Capita plc. to provide street furniture for a public realm enhancement project in the heart of Birmingham funded by Colmore Business District.

The brief was to design and manufacture a collection of large curved bespoke planters, feature seating, litter bins, wall mounted seating and furniture for a chess garden ‘pocket park’.

The planters were designed around our popular Tree planter design and were so large they had to be manufactured in sections that could be bolted together on site.

We also provided the concrete plinth for the feature seat, the concrete retaining wall and the concrete furniture for the chess garden. The material pallet for the project included honed limestone effect concrete, FSC® timber and stainless steel.
