Colour-changing jet water features - The Helix, Falkirk
Fountains Direct was involved in the design and installation of a 33-jet dry plaza fountain and fogging water feature at Helix Park, a 43-hectare zone in Falkirk. The system is controlled by DMX, and the speed pumps and Comet 5-8T nozzles, combined with colour-changing LED lighting create a highly dynamic display
Helix Park is a 43 hectare zone within the 350 hectares that make up The Helix. High-quality pathways connect Helix South and Helix North via The Kelpies through a 27km path network.
These pathways are perfect for cycling, walking, running, skating or riding. The completion of the park is a major contribution to the rejuvenation of the outlying areas in Falkirk.
Work done
At the centre of the park, Fountains Direct was involved in the design and installation of a 33-jet dry plaza fountain system which is controlled by DMX. The 33 variable speed pumps and Comet 5-8T nozzles combined with colour-changing LED lighting create a highly dynamic display.
A second feature consisting of 10 fogging jet sets - each with two fogging nozzles - produces a fine, relatively dry mist. Both features are very popular, especially with children, and are a highlight within the park.
