Challenge

The new BBC Scotland HQ at Pacific Quay, site of the old Govan docks in Glasgow required a secure perimeter..

Solution

Lang+Fulton worked closely with Keppie Design to provide 141 linear metres of Roma-4 fencing, gates and screening panels.

The heavy duty grating fence was chosen not only to meet the required high level of security but also to complement the remarkable glass façade of David Chipperfield Architects' competition winning scheme.

Both the fencing and framed panels, which enclose a covered parking area, were supplied in a durable hot-dip galvanised finish for the exposed position, adjacent to the river Clyde.
