Automated bi-folding speed gates for civic centre
In order to increase security to their service yard access, the London Borough of Hillingdon approached Frontier Pitts to replace the existing automatic barrier. The project involved decomissioning the existing barrier and making the groundworks good, before installing and commissioning the new gate.

Solution
As there was limited space at the Service Yard entrance and HGV's require access, bi-folding speed gates were the perfect solution to ensure the gates took up the least possible space whilst in the open position.
A traffic light system was mounted on the wall next to the bi-folding gates as visibility on site is also restricted.
Safety features are fitted to automated gate to comply to safety standards and alleviate the dangers associated with automatic gates. Safety devices on this installation included vehicle detector loops, safety edges and photocells.
