ARM's innovative technology received a prestigious environmental award at the Utility Week Achievement Awards.
The award highlighted ARM's groundbreaking work on the world’s first natural reedbed system, designed to treat sludges produced during drinking water production at Essex & Suffolk Water’s Hanningfield Water Treatment Works near Chelmsford. This project, a collaboration between ARM and Northumbrian Water Ltd, was recognized for its pioneering approach to sustainable water treatment.
Directors at ARM noted, "The Hanningfield Water Treatment Works project is the first of its kind and is setting a new standard for the sustainable treatment of drinking water sludges."
This was ARM's second environmental award in 2013, and the team celebrated their achievement at a ceremony held at the prestigious Grosvenor House on Park Lane, joined by over 1,200 guests.
