CTS’ in-house engineers designed the boardwalk to a live load of 5kN/m2, equivalent to a crowd loading.
It is made from FSC ekki hardwood, runs to an overall length of 63m, and is 3m wide.
Hi-Grip Excel non-slip inserts in the deck provide a safe walking surface for the general public.
CTS’ installation team prepared the sub-frame for the deck laid onto a concrete strip footing provided by FM Conway. A hardwood kerb was fitted to the outer edge of the boardwalk.
