The ASF 102 cast iron bollard was specified for use in Liverpool city centre. The local authority required the bollard to be personalised to promote civic identity.
ASF is part of WB White Foundry and, as such, has extensive on-site casting capabilities, offering standard range items, completely new designs and any bespoke adaption that is required.
For Liverpool, a pattern for the Liver Bird emblem was hand-carved so that a custom element could be applied to the standard ASF 102 bollard casting pattern.
The emblem was hand-painted in black gloss with details embellished in gold giving a striking end result.
These bollards are practical and long lasting, as well as reinforcing civic identity.
