Illuminated bollards provide optimum light for campus footpaths

Challenge

Nottingham University required an aesthetically-pleasing yet robust solution to provide lighting throughout its Beeston Lane park area.

The client did not want to use standard street lamps because of the adjacent tree coverage.

Solution

AUTOPA provided a network of 72 GFC9000i illuminated bollards, finished in black, to span the full campus footpath throughout the park area.

A wiring plan and a photometric report were used to determine the most economical layout for the bollards, which would provide optimum light coverage.
