Challenge

Oxford County Council needed to replace broken and loose concrete slabs that were causing a safety hazard in one of Oxford's busiest pedestrian areas. The project was undertaken as part of the Transform Oxford programme.

Solution

The council specified NatraTex Cotswold® as the perfect surfacing solution.

NatraTex® uses a clear binder system that incorporates natural aggregates, giving a hard, durable, fully bonded surface, that is in keeping with natural surroundings which is essential with Oxford's architecture.

Outcome

The project was completed in January 2012 and there has been a very positive response to the new surfacing from the public.
