The many varied evergreen and herbaceous plants used throughout the scheme were chosen for their contrasting textures, flowers and year round interest.

The mature specimen trees add visual impact in key areas.

Along the river frontage, the emphasis changes to ecological planting. Two substantial wildflower meadows have been established, and one section of the Thames has been transformed from lifeless mudbanks into a haven for plants and wildlife.

Planting:

  • Magnolia grandiflora, 25-30cm girth.
  • Quercus ilex 20-25cm girth.
  • Tilia platyphyllos, box shaped, 35-40cm girth.
