Reinforced Earth Company (RECo) is recognised as the inventor and a market leader in Mechanically Stabilised Earth (MSE) or reinforced soil retaining structures. RECo design, supply and advise on the installation of retaining walls, slope stabilisation, bridge abutments, cut and cover tunnels, copings and noise barriers.
Retaining and bridge abutment structures are typically manufactured in pre-cast panels and supplied in various formats and aesthetic finishes that are have either steel or geosynthetic retaining strips within the compacted backfill. With over 100,000 structures globally and 60million sqm designed and supplied across our product ranges Reinforced Earth, T-Wall or TechWall
Retaining and bridge abutment structures are also supplied as green or mineral finished using our wire mesh products GeoTrel or TerraTrel, which we design and supplied over 325,000sqm in 2017
Slope stabilisation products include geogrids, steep wiremesh green walls, geocells and many more geosynthetic biodiversified products
Cut and cover tunnels/greenbridges/eco-ducts or pre-cast arches can be supplied in bespoke sizes or from our standard ranges between 8 and 22m spans. We have designed and supplied over 114km of such tunnels.
Copings are generally specified to meet N1, N2 or H4A standards that have been crash tested on Reniforced Earth walls. In 2018 over 86km of copings were designed and supplied
Noise barriers are structural and sound absorbing to meet the highest levels of noise reduction A5 possible. With over 600,000sqm designed and installed.
The company's activities are throughout the UK, Scandinavia, Cyprus and Iceland are managed from their Telford office. As part of Terre Armee, an international group of reinforced earth companies, RECo has a renowned technical expertise gained through the proven performance of over 100,000 structures installed on five continents over the past 55 years.
