Portakabin

Part of the Shepherd Building Group Ltd, Portakabin is the originator of the portable cabin structure, making modular buildings since 1961. The company employs over 1300 people throughout the UK and Europe.

In addition to producing a broad range of modular buildings from extra office, classroom or nursery space to fully fitted, multi-storey offices, schools and hospitals, Portakabin provides value services such as data communications and security systems along with its Customer Charter, pioneering warranty package. The company has also developed the concept of the 'one-stop-shop' service which deals with planning permission to building hand-over.
