Hillier Nurseries

Established 140 years ago, Hillier Nurseries Ltd is located in Hampshire and specialises in growing large and semi-mature trees for landscape architects, local authorities and landscape contractors.

Five generations of horticultural experience, coupled with a knowledgeable staff, has resulted in 61 Gold Medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. This experience, along with discussion and feedback from customers, has led Hillier to develop new shapes and forms, including cube-headed trees, which are popular on urban projects due to their strong architectural form, pleached trees and a range of multistemmed plants.

The company is part of the ‘European Elm City Initiative’ and is introducing a variety of elm (Ulmus), which is resistant to Dutch elm disease, into towns and cities.
