Elcot Environmental specialises in the control and treatment of non-native invasive plant species. Elcot has over 45 years experience in landcape contracting and has specialised in Japanese knotweed control since 1998.

Elcot proprietor Peter Whiteside was closely involved with RICS in the development of guidance on the appropriate management of Japanese knotweed with RICS.

Peter is currently collaborating on development of the new PCA Japanese knotweed Code of Practice. The Property Care Association (PCA) is recognised by the Council of Mortgage lenders (CML) for regulating knotweed specialists and provides accreditation for knotweed specialist contractors.
