Swarco Traffic Ltd was formed in 1989 under the name of Dambach UK Ltd, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dambach-Werke GmbH of Germany which has over 70 years' experience in the design and manufacture of traffic signs and control systems.
Following the acquisition of Dambach by the Swarco Group in 2008, Dambach UK Ltd is now a fully integrated subsidiary of the Group, and in 2011 formally changed its trading name to Swarco Traffic Ltd.
The focus of Swarco's business is the effective management of transport systems, to keep traffic moving, to inform and guide the traveller with innovative products and services in order to support the growing mobility needs of society.
Swarco Traffic Ltd is responsible for all sales and service of Swarco Group products and systems into the UK and Irish markets. The company has a wide portfolio of traffic technology products for urban, motorway, public transport, and parking applications. Fully integrated ITS solutions are offered to customers, based on open international standards and latest technology innovations.
Swarco Traffic Ltd currently employs around 50 people and has a manufacturing facility in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and other service facilities in Milton Keynes and Ballymena. A field service team provides maintenance and support services across the UK to an extensive list of public and private sector customers.
Members of the British Parking Association (BPA), Association for Road Traffic and Safety Management (ARTSM), and ITS-UK.
Swarco Traffic Ltd is accredited to ISO9001:2008 Quality, ISO14000:2004 Environmental, and BS OHAS 18001:2007 Health & Safety standards. All installation staff are CSCS Registered and approved to the National Highways Sector Scheme and the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
