John Carlton-Smith
John Carlton-Smith is a member of the British Antique Dealers Association and has been buying and selling antique clocks and barometers since 1972, the last 25 years from his premises at 19 Ryder Street, St James's, London.
He specializes in 17th, 18th and 19th century antique longcase clocks, table and bracket clocks, small mantel clocks, carriage clocks and barometers from the most renowned English clockmakers such as Thomas Tompion, George Graham, Joseph & John Knibb and Dan Quare. The originality of the movements and wonderfully patinated untouched cases are hallmarks of John Carlton-Smith's fine stock.
In addition he is always seeking to purchase fine antique English clocks by important makers and would be pleased to be contacted for an appraisal or to receive photographs of clocks for sale.
