Parklets for people to stop, rest and socialise in urban street environments
Parklets, aka pocket parks or mini parks, are typically installed on old parking spaces. They provide an area for people to stop and rest in urban environments, creating green refuges where members of the community can stop, rest and socialise. Parklets can be used to encourage walking, cycling and social interaction for the benefit of local communities and businesses.
Parklet elements can include seats, benches, tables, planters, usb charging points and cycle parking points.

Kensington Leisure Centre Solar Parklet
Meristem Design worked with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to introduce a new parklet, modular street furniture components, and integrated solar features to the space surrounding Kensington Leisure Centre.
