Challenge
Shelley Signs was contacted by Craigavon Borough Council with the requirement for an A1-size park sign displaying details and rules relating to the BMX track at Craigavon Pump Track in Northern Ireland.
Solution
Shelley created the design, including the map of the track. The sign was produced in Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), an ideal medium for outdoor graphics and signage.
The park sign was supplied complete with a galvanised and powder-coated steel lectern frame.
It was produced to an urgent deadline in time for the Mayor to open the Park.

Design and artwork
Shelley Signs produces signs and panels using artwork supplied by clients or created by its in-house design team.
Design skills include overall design and layout, creating the artwork for maps, both flat style and a bird’s eye view style together with supplying photographs and illustrations.
Graphic and sign materials
Encapsulated Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is recommended for outdoor graphics and signage. GRP offers great quality print with bright, vibrant graphics allied with the benefits of vandal protection and UV filters for extensive life and colour fastness.
Framing
A wide variety of framing structures in timber (oak and pressure-treated softwood) as well as steel is used to produce lectern frames, vertical post-mounted structures, wall-mounted units, and a wide variety of frames for unusual and highly individual applications.
