Overview

In 2017 Peel Park in Salford, Greater Manchester underwent a major refurbishment with Heritage Lottery funding and isGroup was successful in bidding for the signage due to its ability to provide cost-effective wayfinding signage utilising its WAY2GO system.

Project detail

Four 2.8m WAY2GO monoliths were manufactured with Verometal painted bronze-effect side panels engraved with the historical quatrefoil path shape, used as a symbol for the park. The infill panels were painted and printed depicting historical facts and locations of interest.

Working to deadlines

Three lecterns were also manufactured to complement the scheme. The stanchions were painted with Verometal bronze, with an aluminium frame painted in green with digitally-printed graphics to the face panels depicting historical information.

Unique bronze bird identifiers were installed near the waterside at floor level.

Outcome

All of the work was installed ready for the re-opening of the park in the Spring of 2018.
