Overview

URBASTYLE supplied 14 Galet contemporary concrete benches as part of the renovation and improvement works to a playground area at Butcher-Greene Elementary in Missouri, USA.

The school worked with Michael Killeen from LAND3 Studio LLC to create a multipurpose outdoor space that could be used for reading, sitting, eating lunch and snacks, as well as a durable mobility area made to handle the rough and tumble activities of children.

Product selection

URBASTYLE site furnishings were chosen as a key player in the new space due to the functionality of the products. With a fun and whimsical-like design, the Galet seating collection's skipping stone benches can easily be arranged to suit any outdoor space.

Positioned near the play system with mature trees close by for shade, the 14 benches were placed in two separate sections of the commons, allowing multiple groups to enjoy the outdoors at the same time.

The benches have a white acid-wash look and will make a great spot for educational activities or a quiet place for lovers of the outdoors.
