Overview

Cyclepods supplied new sheltered cycle parking to address the lack of secure, covered bike storage at an upgraded warehouse space at City Cross Business Park in Greenwich, London.

The project was led by contractors MagRock who specialise in new-build, fit-out and refurbishment projects. This project sees the refurbishment of the former Spicers office furniture warehouse, stripping it out and refitting the interior and exterior ready for future use.

In addition to the warehouse update, the building's surroundings have been relandscaped with improved vehicle access, car parking and cycle parking.

Project detail

Cyclepods supplied Swansea shelters with additional green roofs and integrated gutters in the legs.

A number of Swansea shelters occupy former car parking spaces. Each of the 4 shelters offers space for up to 16 bicycles whilst using the equivalent floorspace of 2 cars. This is to meet the demand for more bike use in the city.

The living sedum roof requires little to no maintenance and is a welcome addition to the industrial area, bringing much-needed green to the space.

The client opted for Street Stand hooped cycle stands which offer more security for bikes than a traditional Sheffield stand. Street Stand features two locking loops and an angled steel insert to make cutting difficult. It is available in standard galvanised, or stainless steel grade 304 and 316.

This bike stand can help contribute towards gaining two ENE8 cycle storage credits when used in the appropriate situation.
