Overview

Addaset resin bound surfacing was selected to provide decorative, permeable pathways for Parc Eirin in Tonyrefail, South Wales, an innovative new housing development with over 200 high-quality, low-carbon homes, designed with the environment in mind in.

Requirement

The surfacing requirement for the pathways needed to be decorative, permeable to alleviate surface water and ensure good drainage, and low-maintenance to reduce the need for cleaning.

Product supplied

Addagrip approved contractor Thortech Ltd was appointed by main contractor Morganstone (working for Pobl and Tirion Homes) to install over 471sqm of BBA-approved Addaset resin bound permeable surfacing in an Acorn blend to the walkways of the new development.

In keeping with the environmental credentials of the project, the selected Addaset system has an Environmental Product Declaration certification, and has undergone rigorous testing by the British Board of Agrement.

Installation

The installation was completed in May 2022
