For the project, Handspring Design made and supplied a traditional ‘Crucked’ Barn style of shelter for students at The Pilgrim School, which is a Community Special School in Boston, Lincolnshire. The shelter is part of the company's ‘youth shelter’ range and provides covered outside space between a growing area and peace garden.

The shelter comprises a Douglas Fir frame and powder coated corrugated steel roof. Steel box section shoes keep the posts out of the ground. Draw doweled mortise and tenon joints are used throughout.
