Context

No.1 Spinningfields, Manchester was completed in Autumn 2017, and at 19 storeys high it is the city's tallest commercial office building. Designed by architects SimpsonHaugh, it is the final building to be completed within the 26-acre Spinningfields masterplan, which has created a world-class office destination for financial and professional services companies. The building will be home to tenants such as PwC, Marks & Spencer, D&D London, Browne Jacobson, Squire Patton Boggs, WeWork, Oliver James, Weightmans and NorthEdge.

IOTA was commissioned by principal contractor, BAM Construction, to supply bespoke steel planters for No. 1 Spinningfields.

The planters were manufactured from 2.0mm-thick zintec steel and polyester powder-coated [PPC] RAL 9007 [Grey aluminium].

The scheme comprised a selection of planters, from L 2000 x W 2000 x H 1000mm tree planters, to shrub planters up to L 4400 x W 1200 x H 1000mm.
