On 25th May, Kinley’s technical consultant, Euan Taylor took on the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for charity, The National Brain Appeal. The money raised brings Kinley’s total donations to The National Brain Appeal to £3,174 in 2018 so far.
The team at Kinley, an innovative leading landscape edging company based in Staplecross, East Sussex, put their names into the ring for an auction style vote to see who would get dunked. The lucky winner (or loser!) was Euan, who had the most money pledged against his name by his colleagues.
On the sunny 25th May, Euan completed the challenge, which was witnessed by the whole Kinley team.
In good spirits, Euan said “I loved the idea of the Ice Bucket Challenge auction until the ‘winner’ was announced! I’d do most things for charity, and even better when a cold shower helps you on a hot Friday afternoon!”
Kinley is passionate about supporting good causes, with Stuart Bowie, Managing Director, choosing The National Brain Appeal as the company’s main charitable cause in 2014. As well as the Ice Bucket Challenge, Kinley has raised money through internal events and donates £2.50 for every time a client or customers gives feedback.
Theresa Dauncey, Chief Executive of The National Brain Appeal, said: “Well done Euan for braving the ice bucket challenge. Thank goodness it was a hot day! We are so grateful to Stuart Bowie, Euan and all the staff at Kinley for their continuing support for The National Brain Appeal. Our vision is the improve the outcome and quality of life for every individual with a neurological disorder, of which there are hundreds of conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and dementia. The money that Kinley has raised will help us to achieve that.”
In addition, Kinley supports The Rapid Relief Team and The Grace Trust.
