Context

NatraTex bound surfacing was used to provide a colourful, durable surfacing material for access roads at a new housing development in Winchester.

Products used

NatraTex supplied its flagship product for the project: 6mm NatraTex Cotswold® Classic bound surfacing. A total of 2000m2 of access roads were covered throughout the development in June 2017, and encompassed more than 200 homes. NatraTex Cotswold was carefully linked with block paving and conventional tarmacadam.

NatraTex is not a resin bound or bonded product, but shares similar characteristics to that of conventional macadam, being laid at the same depth and with sub layers (base and binder course). This results in a multipurpose surfacing material that is suitable for a variety of applications including roads, driveways, cycle paths, footpaths, playgrounds and multi-use games areas (MUGA).

NatraTex provides a long-lasting, coloured finish that is virtually maintenance-free.
