N2 BL02 is a timber and steel crash barrier system with N2/W5 containment level classification. The system is quick and easy to install, manufactured using Corten steel & sustainable timber making the system a more environmentally friendly choice.

Accreditation

The barrier has been tested in accordance with the requirements of standards EN 1317:1-2-5, is ISO 9001 certified, and CE marked. The wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests, according to the international PEFC certification scheme. Wood is treated to prevent any attack from biological agents, in service conditions corresponding to the Use Class 3 (according to EN 355-1), by mean of an impregnation process in autoclave, with a specific eco-friendly water based preservative.

Environmental credentials:

Corporate Social responsibility

Our Barriers are manufactured under a policy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is regularly assessed by ECOVADIS, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. The current result in the EcoVadis rating and historical performance fulfils the eligibility criteria to receive an EcoVadis Sustainability recognition gold medal and certificate, as an acknowledgment of the meaningful efforts that the company and its people have undertaken to create a more sustainable world

Environmental Product Declaration

Our barriers have an EPD, an environmental statement based on a life cycle study (LCA study) that allows communication of objective, credible and comparable information relating to the environmental performance of a product throughout its entire life cycle. Our road safety products are characterized by a total production of greenhouse gases, total GWP in the "from cradle to gate" analyses, significantly lower than traditional barriers made of galvanized steel. The main reason is the carbon dioxide storage function ensured by the use of PEFC certified laminated wood (see EPD table in the images on this page).

PEFC Chain of Custody

Barriers are manufactured under a PEFC Chain of Custody which demonstrates commitment to reducing deforestation, conserve biodiversity and act responsibly on a social level, through the implementation of a legal and sustainable wooden raw material supply system.

Use of sustainable materials

Our barriers are produced with PEFC-certified laminated wood (to guarantee sustainable forest management) with a 100% certified wood.
The Corten steel doesn't need galvanizing, which is a polluting and energy-intensive process.

Guarantee

We can guarantee our barrier for 20 years
