Bam Nuttall challenged Anderton Concrete to provide an alternative design for new pedestrian and disabled access ramps to link the station forecourt and street level to each platform at Littleborough Station in Rochdale.
Solution
Working alongside Pascoe, Anderton Concrete converted the original design from another block system and put forward a more cost-effective solution which incorporated their dry-build Keystone walling system.
Outcome
Keystone’s high strength performance, aesthetic qualities and its ability to be built quickly made it an ideal choice for the project and the new design was chosen by Bam Nuttall.
710 square metres of the Keystone blocks have since been supplied by Anderton Concrete and construction of the DDA compliant ramps has been completed.
