ACO Guide Wall is a modular barrier system made from recycled polymer concrete, designed to prevent small animals from entering hazardous areas. Standard 1m straight sections and shaped units accommodate changes in direction and gradient. Integral anti-climb barriers and a front foot area help guide animals safely, suppress vegetation and support earth banks without metal reinforcement.

Features and benefits

  • Prevents small animals from accessing danger zones with anti-climb barriers

  • Suppresses vegetation and creates a clear movement path for wildlife

  • Supports substantial earth banks and can be backfilled to full height

  • No metal reinforcement, avoiding magnetic field distortion

  • Non-absorbent, low thermal conductivity surface suitable for amphibians

  • Low maintenance and minimum 50-year operational life

  • Accommodates curves and changes in gradient with modular units

Applications

  • Highways

  • Nature conservation areas

  • Mitigation zones

  • Residential developments

  • Distribution yards

  • Industrial estates

Physical attributes

Standard 1m straight lengths with additional units for curves, risers and droppers. Can be backfilled to full height and used to retain substantial earth banks.

Materials

Recycled polymer concrete - no metal reinforcement.

Performance

Minimum operational life of 50 years under normal conditions. Will not corrode or leave harmful residues.

Installation

Includes straight, radius, riser and dropper units for flexible layouts. Can be retained by backfill.
