MeadowMat wildflower matting overcomes the difficulties frequently encountered when trying to establish native wildflowers from seed.
Grown on a lightweight matting system, MeadowMat contains 34 species of native flowering plants and grasses already growing strongly and ready to root into prepared soil.
The seed mix comprises 30% grasses and 70% flowering plants, perfect for attracting and supporting a wide range of animals and insects.
MeadowMat is easy to install (see the video below). Simply unroll it like turf and keep it well watered during the establishment period.
It is low maintenance, which saves on costs. Maintenance normally consists of cutting once a year and removing the hay crop. In high nutrient soils, MeadowMat may also need to be mown once or twice in autumn and winter.
Standard seed mix is shown below and is available all year round with a three working day lead time. Bespoke mixes can be grown to order, lead time varies according to the time of year but is normally 12-16 weeks.
Sheeps Fescue, Slender Creeping Red Fescue, Crested Dogstail, Small Leaved Timothy.
