Archilede is an LED street light that has a patented optical system allowing it to achieve optimum column spacings without the reduction in uniformity of light distribution.

It is available in 84, 59 and 39W versions, all of which have a cool white colour temperature. All lighting heads can be supplied with a dusk to dawn photocell.

The 84 watt version achieves the same light output as a traditional 150 watt HST lantern, giving energy savings of 40%. Payback can be achieved within 5 years when used for replacement purposes. This payback can be achieved from the energy savings, without taking into consideration the maintenance costs associated with traditional lanterns.

In a lighting scheme with 1000 light points (comparing 84W Archilede versus 150W HST sodium lanterns), 132.4 tonnes of CO2 emissions could be saved in one year - a reduction of 315,180kWh.

The system also has an inbuilt intelligent dimming device so that the luminaire can be dimmed during off peak times when traffic volumes are low, achieving further savings.

The fixtures have also been subject to comprehensive shock/vibration tests, allowing them to be used in areas subject to vibrations such as airports, train stations and trams.
