Theories Landscapes specialises in the design and build of bespoke play structures. The company works with a range of materials to create weatherproof and robust structures that support a full range of play activities, from climbing, and sliding, to learning and simply hanging out.

Twigwam free-standing climbing tripod

The ‘Twigwam’ is a free-standing tripod structure which, apart from being visually quite striking and adventurous, also creates snug play dens inside as well as being climbable if safer surfacing surrounds it.

However, if there is no safer surfacing or the tripod should not be climbable, they are easily adjusted, and supplied with removable side wall panels to form a snug tent-like den and play space with a raised dry timber floor. They can be particularly effective if built in clusters or villages with connecting poles to climb along or a central fire pit even?

Bespoke play structures

Bespoke play structures can be designed to respond to individual project environments. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Swings, slides, spinners, pulleys, balance beams, bars
  • Rope and net play
  • Climbing
  • Interactive and educational panels
  • Decorative treatments
  • Water, sound and music
  • Timber and a full range of sustainable materials
  • PII certification and risk assessment

Accreditation

BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177
