CLD Fencing Systems was approached by architects, Cassidy + Ashton, to supply perimeter fencing for Buckshaw Village Primary School in Chorley as part of a £5.5 million redevelopment project.
The redevelopment included the creation of state-of-the-art outdoor play areas, a multi-use games area (MUGA) and two junior-sized football pitches.
CLD worked closely with the architect from the initial design stages. The brief was to create an attractive fencing system that offered optimal safety and security for the school and its 200 pupils.
For the play area, CLD designed a unique, multicoloured fence with pencil-shaped posts. The tops of the posts were made from wood to allow the children to paint them in any colour.
A perimeter fencing system incorporating CLD Dulok™ double wire wavetop fencing was supplied for the school perimeter with robust, Dulok Rebound™ fencing for the sports pitches.
LockMaster™ single- and double-leaf locking gates were supplied to match the fencing systems, as well as a cantilevered Slidemaster™ sliding gate with fully automated access control for the main entrance.
The fencing systems and gates were installed by Global Fencing Ltd.
