Amberol’s Spring / Summer photo competition looks like it will be something extra special this year, with a range of stunning entries showcasing beautiful floral creations, as well as imaginative Platinum Jubilee displays from across the UK.
The photo competition also marks the first time in two years that all Britain in Bloom judging takes place face to face – and it seems that many councils and In Bloom groups have pulled out all the stops to mark the occasion.
Showcasing your area
Amberol’s photo competition is a great way to highlight an organisation’s hard work as well as promoting the local area and showing it at its best. The current crop of photo competition entries is varied and interesting, including images of young plants ready to be placed outside early in the season, pictures of volunteers hard at work, Jubilee displays and self-watering planters brightening up high streets and well known local buildings.
How to vote
The winning photo is chosen by a public vote via our social media channels. It’s very quick and easy to have your say; just go to the photo album created on the Amberol Facebook page and select your preferred image. If you have an entry or a favourite picture in the competition, it’s also a good idea to spread the word amongst your community to gather some support. Voting ends on 22nd August, so watch this space for the next winner.
How to enter
With a prize of £200 worth of vouchers to spend on Amberol products, it’s worth taking the time to enter. And, although the deadline for entries closed at the end of June, it seems that people are eager to share their photos as we have already received several entries in July which will go forwards to the next competition in the autumn.
Entering is also very easy: just submit your photos of Amberol’s self-watering planters via the online form on the website. Your photo will then be entered into the public vote taking place in the autumn. If you’re considering entering for the first time, it’s worth taking a look at the Amberol Customer Galleries which showcase the hard work of In Bloom and community groups, businesses, councils and gardeners. It also demonstrates the variety and versatility of Amberol’s self-watering planters - from our larger tiered planters which can help you create eye-catching centrepiece displays, to smaller hanging baskets which are easier to maintain than traditional hanging baskets. We often explain that using self-watering planters helps to create optimal conditions for growth - and the images of different floral displays in full bloom are certainly proof of that.
