HiSec SR1 high-security fence uses the 358 welded mesh configuration. Suitable for applications where Secured by Design accreditation is required for perimeter security, including:

  • Schools
  • Utility suppliers
  • Transport

A tight 76.2 x 12.7mm mesh configuration makes it difficult to get a finger hold within the apertures to scale and climb the fencing without climbing aids.

Panels are available in 2, 2.4 and 3m heights. Installed using stainless steel tamper-resistant fixings, the result is a rigid perimeter fence that offers a high degree of vandal resistance and an extremely high level of visibility, making it ideal for use with CCTV and other detection systems.

The HiSec SR1 fence system offers the same product benefits as the standard HiSec, but with added security. In addition, manufacturing is subject to stringent quality control, which means all fences are uniformly high quality.

This system conforms to BS 1722: Part 14: Category 4 and carries certification to LPS 1175 SR1 (under LPS1175 issue 7) and A1 (under LPS1175 issue 8). This is required for Secured by Design and featured in the BRE Red Book.

Finish

Protective zinc layer and electrostatically-applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers. In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.

Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.

Posts and fixings

Post and clamp bar configuration, providing a simple and easy installation method. Supplied with stainless steel through bolts, nuts and washers and installed using either power or hand tools.

Sloping ground

Panels can be stepped on the post. On steeper gradients, it is recommended that taller panels are either part-buried or additional posts are used. Panels can be sloped to follow lesser gradients.

Variations

Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights and ground conditions.

  • Wall fixing, cranked posts or base plated
  • Cranked, v-shape or top hat extensions for barbed or razor wire
  • Extended posts for CCTV, electric fencing, lighting or physical security devices
  • Matching SR1-rated security gates are also available
