Wicksteed Leisure provided a bespoke design and installation service for Tamworth Borough Council, which was looking to replace the old playground in the town.
The new playground installation features equipment suitable for children of all ages and abilities, and includes swings, slides, seesaws, towers, roundabouts, climbing frames, climbing walls, monkey bars, trim trails, action spinners, buddy board and teepees.
The central focus of the playground is the large play castle and castle gates at the entrance to the play park, which are in keeping with the historic Tamworth Castle that overlooks the area.
A wheelchair-accessible roundabout, supported swing seats, wheelchair access ramps, and a variety of sensory play boards help ensure that the playground can be enjoyed by children of all abilities.
Cllr Robert Pritchard, Deputy Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: "The old playground has been a much-loved and iconic play area, creating happy memories for many thousands of children. We know how much families are looking forward to the opening of this brand-new play area, especially during the holidays.
“The new design from Wicksteed has something to offer all children, including those with additional needs or disabilities. We also wanted to make as much use of the space as possible and the new layout packs in loads of swings, slides, climbing frames and other multi-use equipment, so more children can enjoy the park at one time."
