CityProtector is an IWA 14-1 crash rated fixed bollard with a unique shark's tooth shape, instead of the conventional shape of a traditional street bollard.
CityProtector has undergone independent impact tests, carried out at the UK’s accredited testing facilities Horiba Mira, and has successfully achieved both PAS 68 and IWA 14-1 ratings for the CityProtector M40, and an IWA 14-1 rating for the CityProtector M50.

CityProtector doesn’t require a sleeve and can be finished in a choice of colours. If a stainless steel finish is preferred then a selection of shapes is available in the CityProtector original design, as well as in round, oval and rectangular shapes.
Physically tested in an array of 3 bollards, the CityProtector was initially successfully tested to both IWA14-1 (N2A 7200kg vehicle) and PAS 68 (N2 7500kg vehicle) ratings at a speed of 40mph (64kph). The result led to further IWA 14-1 testing at a higher speed of 50mph (80kph), passing the impact almost unscathed and disabling the vehicle completely.

With just a 220mm foundation depth, the CityProtector bollard is ideal for city centres protection or where deep foundations are not possible due to services or infrastructure laying just beneath the street level. The smaller foundation footprint also reduces the time and cost of the installation. The unique modular design can easily be assembled and disassembled manually by one person. This means that heavy lifting equipment such as cranes or forklifts are not required, reducing the cost of installation.
