Context
Fully funded by Sport England, a Yalp Sutu interactive football wall was installed at the U-Mix Centre at Lowfield Park in Sheffield. The project was part of a larger scheme in conjunction with Sport England and the Football Association, designed to provide quality, accessible sport and play opportunities for all ages and abilities within communities. The launch was a part of a Black History Month football tournament, hosted by Sheffield United Community Foundation.
Testimonial
"I’m really impressed with the football wall, which combines fantastic technology with movement, a truly innovative conception for the digital world we are submersed in today. I’d like to thank all partners involved in making this happen and after seeing how much everyone has enjoyed it. I know it will be very popular amongst local people...This interactive wall is now part of the Sheffield football story, so I hope kids will come down and have a go at this fantastic interactive game."
– Councillor Mary Lea, Cabinet Member for Culture, Parks and Leisure at Sheffield Council
About Yalp Sutu
Yalp Sutu is an interactive sports wall powered by a 230V cable. When hit by a ball its 16 panels are activated, stimulating children to be active and outdoors.
Yalp Sutu courts can be added to traditional MUGAs, or used to improve them. The goal is to hit the LED-lit panels in whichever way the games prescribe.
Yalp Sutu contains 10 games which can be activated on the MyYalp portal with unique log-in credentials. Users can also view the real time usage statistics of the games linked to the product though a 3G sim via the portal. MyYalp also allows users to manage volume, time lock, language and game selection.
