Working on behalf of Playdale, RTC Safety Surfaces was tasked with installing cosmos-themed safety surfacing for a new children's play area at Pontyberem Community Centre in Wales.
RTC Safety Surfaces installed surfacing full of soaring rockets, shooting stars and swirls. All of the graphics were hand laid.
The project was completed in two phases and included over 600m² of wet pour surfacing, with the team spending a total of 11 days in Llanelli, Wales over two visits.
To ensure the children were safe as they played, and that all of the relevant regulations were met, the play area surfacing was installed at depths ranging from 40 to 80mm, in line with Playdale’s equipment.
At the new play area's open day, the local children loved exploring the new facility, and it has proved to be a great resource for families in this ex-mining town.
